Hello Third Trimester!
Baby Maples is the size of a cucumber and weighs 2.2 pounds!
How far along? 27 weeks
Maternity clothes? yes, but love wearing my maxi and shift dresses (Also, I just got my Blanqi maternity support tank top – best thing ever! It has helped with the pulled muscles in my abdomen and lower back pain. I can’t live without it now!)
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleep has improved dramatically due to the wonderful snoogle – where have you been all of my life!?
Best moment this week: spending some time with my family
Miss anything? sleeping on my stomach and red wine
Movement: Baby Girl is moving like crazy – she makes my stomach jump now
Food cravings: Watermelon and some more watermelon!
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: I have been pretty tired here lately, probably because I have been going nonstop for a while – nesting, shopping and preparing the nursery
Belly Button in or out? half in and half out – almost an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? on
Mood: happy, tired, anxious, sad (probably because Randy was on a business trip to France all week)
Looking forward to: completing the nursery – I am starting to freak out that it isn’t finished yet!
This week was a happy/sad week for me, because Randy was in France all week for a business trip. I was thrilled that he got to go, but a little sad that I wasn’t there. He wished me happy birthday in front of the Eiffel Tower via FaceTime, which was very romantic – but a little depressing at the same time. Next time he goes, I will definitely tag along!
He did bring me back gifts from Paris – wonderful perfume and a beautiful maple leaf necklace. He did good! 😉 And he brought back a nice French red wine for us, that we plan to enjoy when Baby Girl turns 1!
While he was away, I spent most of the week with my family. We did some shopping for Baby Girl and I just can’t wait till she gets here and to dress her in her beautiful clothes!
The rest of the week was spent eating at all of my favorite Boone restaurants – which is the best way to celebrate a birthday 27 weeks pregnant – and going to the Farmer’s Market.
When Randy returned from France he took me to my favorite restaurant, Bouchon – which, is french comfort food. Haha! 🙂 It never disappoints! We finished our night at the Creperie with a banana foster crepe! It was the most perfect evening!
And to end my birthday, I got to celebrate with my small group with more yummy food! This pregnant birthday girl was in her happy place, especially with the angel food cake and strawberry cream – yum!
I have so many things to be thankful for and I am excited for all the things to come in the last year of my twenties!
I hope you had a wonderful week and Memorial Day!
