Our Maple Tree

Keeping up with The Maples

30 Weeks

Baby Maples is the size of a butternut squash and weighs 3 pounds!

How far along? 30 weeks – only 10 weeks to go!
Maternity clothes? yes, but mostly my maxi and shift dresses
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleeping has been ok, laying on my side for a while starts to hurt my hips now
Best moment this week: hanging out with friends
Miss anything? sleeping on my stomach, my energy and being able to think!
Movement: Baby Girl is still moving all the time
Food cravings: Fruit (as always) and hotdogs 🙂
Food aversions: not food aversions, just everything I eat gives me bad acid reflux and heartburn
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: Pregnant brain has been awful! I have started the dishwasher without putting soap in it and have no recollection of doing it! I sang for church yesterday and I didn’t come in when I was suppose to, I left the stage earlier than expected… you get the picture, it was pretty bad! Acid reflux, heartburn, dizzy spells and fatigue (it has been a rough week)
Belly Button in or out? still half in and half out
Wedding rings on or off? on
Mood: happy but so very tired and a little stressed since I can’t seem to think coherently at all! I feel like I am going crazy! Has anyone else had this problem?!
Looking forward to: meeting Baby Girl!

28 Weeks

Baby Maples is the size of a head of cauliflower and weighs 2.5 pounds!

How far along? 28 weeks
Maternity clothes? yes, but mostly wearing my comfy t-shirts and of course, maxi dresses
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleep has been great, thanks to the snoogle – but I have to get up often to use the restroom! And dreams have been strange as of late.
Best moment this week: had the glucose test and everything is A-OK! and finally finding a chair for the nursery!
Miss anything? sleeping on my stomach, sushi and being able to walk/shop for a while without getting out of breath, painful ankles and lower back
Movement: she moves all the time – I’m pretty sure she is boxing in there!
Food cravings: Watermelon, s’mores cookies and ice-cream
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: acid reflux, more headaches this week and my lower back and ankles hurt when I’m on my feet all day
Belly Button in or out? half in and half out
Wedding rings on or off? on
Mood: happy, still a little anxious and pregnant brain is driving me crazy – I feel like I can’t get anything done because I can’t remember anything!
Looking forward to: completing the nursery and settling on a name

We have had an awful time getting the nursery furniture painted. They are pieces that Randy had when he was growing up and he knows that they are older than he is. For those who paint furniture probably know how to paint old furniture, but we didn’t know that the stain was oil based. So when we started painting, it bled through like crazy! It was terrible!

We called this color strawberry swirl.

So we sanded again and Randy painted again with Kilz primer; which thank goodness, worked! And I love the hardware! I found them on esty.

So once we finish the two pieces, the nursery will come together quickly. I can’t wait to get it all together!
