How far along? 35 weeks – just one more month to go! (say what?!)
Maternity clothes? yes, but mostly my maxi and shift dresses
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleeping has been ok – still have insomnia and have to get up a lot

Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: Fatigue, swollen feet and ankles, trouble taking a deep breath and the worst charlie horses of all time – My first really bad one was in the middle of the night which caused me to fall out of bed trying to fix it. Belly Button in or out? still half in and half out
Wedding rings on or off? on but they do feel tighter
Mood: happy, anxious and I now cry easier anytime we talk about meeting Baby Girl for the first time or pray over her

Baby Maples is the size of a honeydew melon and weighs 4.5 pounds!

How far along? 33
Maternity clothes? yes, but mostly my maxi and shift dresses
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleeping has been ok – third trimester insomnia has started. I usually toss and turn all night and then wake up around 4 or 5 am – it’s lovely…
Best moment this week: It has been awhile since my last post, so a lot of great things have happened: we got our nursery glider and it is seriously the most comfortable chair in the house. Randy and I take turns sitting in it every night! We went to our first baby shower, I discovered that my snoogle can be formed into a donut which I can put my belly into (glorious!) and we celebrated July 4th with friends
Miss anything? my brain, refreshing summer cocktails and doing anything without feeling completely exhausted
Movement: Baby Girl is still moving all the time
Food cravings: strawberries, raspberries, banana pudding ice-cream from Publix (seriously, it’s amazing!)
Food aversions: not food aversions, just everything I eat gives me bad acid reflux and heartburn – but Zantac has really helped, thank you for the suggestion!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: Pregnant brain, fatigue, acid reflux
Belly Button in or out? still half in and half out
Wedding rings on or off? on but they do feel tighter – not sure if it is due to the summer heat or the pregnancy
Mood: happy but so very tired
Looking forward to: Baby Girl’s arrival – it is all I can think about! 🙂

We had our first baby shower two weekends ago, given to us by Randy’s parents. It was a wonderful shower and we loved every minute of it. 🙂

The cake was definitely a hit! It had to be the cutest and most perfect cake ever!

July 4th was spent with our dearest friends. We cooked out, ate strawberries and cookies and enjoyed the fireworks together.

I hope everyone had a magical July 4th weekend! Now that July 4th is over, fall is on the brain! Who’s with me?! Bring on the pumpkin! 😉

Miss anything? sleeping on my stomach, sushi and being able to walk/shop for a while without getting out of breath, painful ankles and lower back
Movement: she moves all the time – I’m pretty sure she is boxing in there!
Food cravings: Watermelon, s’mores cookies and ice-cream
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: acid reflux, more headaches this week and my lower back and ankles hurt when I’m on my feet all day

Mood: happy, still a little anxious and pregnant brain is driving me crazy – I feel like I can’t get anything done because I can’t remember anything!
Looking forward to: completing the nursery and settling on a name

We have had an awful time getting the nursery furniture painted. They are pieces that Randy had when he was growing up and he knows that they are older than he is. For those who paint furniture probably know how to paint old furniture, but we didn’t know that the stain was oil based. So when we started painting, it bled through like crazy! It was terrible!

We called this color strawberry swirl.

IMG_4074

So we sanded again and Randy painted again with Kilz primer; which thank goodness, worked! And I love the hardware! I found them on esty.

So once we finish the two pieces, the nursery will come together quickly. I can’t wait to get it all together!

27 Weeks and My 29th Birthday

IMG_4179

Hello Third Trimester!

Baby Maples is the size of a cucumber and weighs 2.2 pounds!

How far along? 27 weeks
Maternity clothes? yes, but love wearing my maxi and shift dresses (Also, I just got my Blanqi maternity support tank top – best thing ever! It has helped with the pulled muscles in my abdomen and lower back pain. I can’t live without it now!)
Stretch marks? not yet
Sleep: sleep has improved dramatically due to the wonderful snoogle – where have you been all of my life!?
Best moment this week: spending some time with my family
Miss anything? sleeping on my stomach and red wine
Movement: Baby Girl is moving like crazy – she makes my stomach jump now
Food cravings: Watermelon and some more watermelon!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: I have been pretty tired here lately, probably because I have been going nonstop for a while – nesting, shopping and preparing the nursery
Belly Button in or out? half in and half out – almost an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? on
Mood: happy, tired, anxious, sad (probably because Randy was on a business trip to France all week)
Looking forward to: completing the nursery – I am starting to freak out that it isn’t finished yet!

This week was a happy/sad week for me, because Randy was in France all week for a business trip. I was thrilled that he got to go, but a little sad that I wasn’t there. He wished me happy birthday in front of the Eiffel Tower via FaceTime, which was very romantic – but a little depressing at the same time. Next time he goes, I will definitely tag along!

IMG_4160

He did bring me back gifts from Paris – wonderful perfume and a beautiful maple leaf necklace. He did good! 😉 And he brought back a nice French red wine for us, that we plan to enjoy when Baby Girl turns 1!

IMG_4189

While he was away, I spent most of the week with my family. We did some shopping for Baby Girl and I just can’t wait till she gets here and to dress her in her beautiful clothes!

IMG_4181

The rest of the week was spent eating at all of my favorite Boone restaurants – which is the best way to celebrate a birthday 27 weeks pregnant – and going to the Farmer’s Market.

IMG_4152

When Randy returned from France he took me to my favorite restaurant, Bouchon – which, is french comfort food. Haha! 🙂 It never disappoints! We finished our night at the Creperie with a banana foster crepe! It was the most perfect evening!

And to end my birthday, I got to celebrate with my small group with more yummy food! This pregnant birthday girl was in her happy place, especially with the angel food cake and strawberry cream – yum!

IMG_4190

I have so many things to be thankful for and I am excited for all the things to come in the last year of my twenties!

I hope you had a wonderful week and Memorial Day!

Looking forward to: decorating the nursery

I am a little embarrassed to say how long I have been planning and dreaming about my nursery. Let just say, I have been gathering ideas for a long time – which is made evident of my Pinterest account! Any how, I am very excited to finally start buying and putting together all my ideas for this nursery.

I love nurseries that are neutral and elegant. Restoration Hardware has put together the most beautiful and perfect nurseries. When I think of my nursery, I imagine it looking something like this:

I love the grays and creams with pops of color here and there. I would like to incorporate a little bit of pink and mustard yellow into our little girl’s room. I found this crib sheet on Esty and it has been my inspiration for the color scheme. I just love the mixture of these colors.

il_fullxfull.759359142_7q1e

After finding this sheet, I stumbled upon this nursery:

b1abfef88d8e49c3541930789c928d50

I love the grey, peach and gold. And I also love that this nursery is girly, but not too over-the-top. It has just enough feminine charm. 🙂

I am so excited to get this nursery together! It has been so much fun shopping for the nursery. I have been using Baby List for my registry and to help me keep track of everything I find and love. This website is amazing! You can put any item from any store/website into one registry! It makes things so much easier; especially since I love baby items from Etsy!

Happy weekend!
